The Rotary Club of Kapuskasing is celebrating 50 years of service to the community.
The town recently honoured the club for that service during council last week.
Director of Service Projects for the local club, Jules Joly says the members are proud of its contributions to the community.
He says the RYLA program, in particular, is a great opportunity for students to see the world.

It’s a leadership program which lets students, some as young as 14 and 15, get volunteer experience internationally.
Joly says there are some big advantages to the club having a worldwide presence.
