The snowmobile season is long over, however a regional group is trying to turn the north into a snowmobile destination point.

The group is the Northeastern Ontario Community Network and it wants to establish the region as the best snowmobile destination in the world.

NECN has hired consultants to develop recommendations on how to grow and strengthen the snowmobile sector.

In the months ahead the organization will be tapping into snowmobile clubs and tourism operators for input on how to make the sport better.
