More pay and display meters will be installed as the date draws closer for the stations’ to get up and running.
The town will agree on a safe location for the drive-thru meter which was holding up the decision initially.
Council has recommended that a station be placed on Byng Avenue and on Millview.
The meters will feature transferable time which commuters can use across town and there could be a smart phone app in the future.
In the meantime, residents will be parking for free in town.
