Fedeli: LHIN Spending Going Up While Services Going Down

Vic Fedeli, the provincial member for Nipissing, says the North East Local Health Integration Network keeps spending lots of money but health services across the region continue to worsen.

Fedeli says the wait times for hip surgeries, knee replacements and MRI scans all missed their targets.

And while those targets were missed, Fedeli says the LHIN boosted its administration costs by 200-thousand dollars.

That includes a 10-thousand dollar pay hike for CEO Louise Paquette who now makes about 267-thousand dollars.

Fedeli says when it comes to performance, the North East LHIN is at the bottom of the list across Ontario by missing 11 of 15 performance targets.
