Regional Chief Praising Ministers in Dealing with First Nations Health Issues

Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day is commending both the provincial and the federal governments for their action when it comes to a First Nation health emergency.

Day says a recent meeting on the health issues, which includes the on-going skin rashes in Kashechewan, was a productive one.

He says both federal Health Minister Jane Philpott and provincial Health Minister Eric Hoskins have agreed to immediately move forward on the actions proposed by the Nishnawbe Aski Nation.

Day says he will continue to be an advocate for immediate improvements to health services across the country.
