Constance Lake First Nation and the town of Hearst will be taking on mining opportunities to create jobs together in the future.
The mining readiness strategy’s goal is to create both opportunity and support for jobs in both communities.
The plan could give the two communities a competitive edge in creating jobs and taking on mining exploration, development and production.
The plan’s second phase which will outline priority actions for the partnership is expected to be completed by year’s end.
