Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says 16 children are being evacuated from Kashechewan for medical treatment.
This comes on the heels of a health crisis in the First Nation community.
Angus says issues of black mould and the possibility of a sewage lagoon leaking into the water system needs immediate attention.
Medical teams will be in the First Nation community today to examine other children.
