Northern MPP Critical of Budget During Question Period

The Tories are continuing to go after the Liberals on their budget.

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the Liberals are fudging the numbers with the deficit by lowering it with the sale of the Hydro One money.

Fedeli says they will also use money from a new gas tax to bring down the deficit.

But the Tory finance critic says it doesn’t stop there.

Fedeli says because the Liberals can’t put the brakes on spending, they’re looking at a new source of taxation.

Fedeli says applying taxes retroactively is spooking markets and making northern Ontario less desirable for investors.
