Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is asking the federal government to include the Ring of Fire in their upcoming budget.
This comes on the heels of the provincial government simply re-announcing a previous commitment to the chromite project in their budget last week.
Angus has written to the federal Natural Resource Minister, Jim Carr, to try and get some money secured for the project.
Angus says the Ring of Fire has a six-billion dollar potential, which would create over five-thousand jobs.
