OPP detachments in the north are focusing on snowmobiler safety and awareness on, and off, OFSC trails.
This comes as the OPP recently responded to a sled colliding with a car while attempting to cross a highway.
The OPP says with March break just around the corner, it’s expecting higher traffic than usual on the trails.
The OPP is reminding all riders they must have proper documentation on them at all times.

Your trail pass, insurance, registration and other documentation can all be requested by either OFSC or OPP sled patrols.
Police say as usual, their number one priority is the safety of residents.
