FONOM is happy about the recent announcement to extend the spring bear hunt for another five years.
President of FONOM, Al Spacek, is applauding the move, saying it will address safety concerns and bring some much needed economic activity to the area.
They are also happy about another recent announcement from the province which is confirming more funding will go into infrastructure.
That commitment will see the Connecting Link pot doubled, from 15 million to 30 million by 2018.
On top of that, the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund is going from 100 million to 300 million.
