OFSC Warning ATVers to Stay off Trails, Snowmobilers to Stay on Trails

The OFSC says it has nabbed a few ATVs on northern snowmobile trails resulting in extra grooming and maintenance.

The most recent example left an ATV rider facing severe fines near Sudbury over the weekend, after being caught by a local patrol.

Northern OFSC clubs are also reminding riders to stay on the trails as riding onto private property is considered trespassing.

The Kapuskasing Sno-Rovers say private land owners allow trails on their properties, but they may not if snowmobilers continue to go off-trail.

Despite most trails being on crown land you can still be charged with trespassing either from police or OFSC patrols.
