Hundreds filled Fifth Street in what may have been the most successful torchlight parade in the history of one of Ontario’s largest winter carnivals.
Police and EMS were on hand for the event last week but the OPP says there were no burns or injuries reported.
Flames over 100 feet tall burned during the carnivals bonfire followed by an impressive display of fireworks.
The Cochrane Winter Carnival is the second largest event of its kind held in the province every year.
