Northeast Cancer Care Centre Celebrates Milestone

The Northeast Cancer Centre is celebrating the first anniversary of the My Cancer I-Q website. This comes on the heels of this week’s World Cancer Day.

The website is a way to self-assess your risk for cancer, which includes a personalized plan you can share with your doctor.

Regional Coordinator for the cancer centre, Nicole Gauthier, says kidney cancers and melanoma have been added to the list of cancers on the website because they are on the rise, but preventable.

The website can be accessed from any computer, smartphone, or tablet, and is completely confidential.

It was created by Cancer Care Ontario in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
