The Smooth Rock Falls EDC is taking it upon itself to educate residents on how to protect themselves from telephone and internet scams.
Legal Aid Ontario is holding the info session today at the Smooth Rock community centre from 1:30pm-3:30pm.
This comes as the James Bay OPP issue yet another warning of telephone scams being reported in the area.
Police say never give any personal or banking information, no matter how minor, to anyone over the phone.

The OPP says if you do receive a suspicious phone call, hang up and call the police, you never know what details may help them.
The info sessions will be presented in both English and French.
