Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says he is pleased Timmins is taking on the fight for fair gas prices, and is calling for other northern cities to join in.
Angus spoke about the unfair prices in the House of Commons Monday afternoon, saying Timmins and most of the Northeast is paying 20 per cent more than Toronto and 35 per cent more than Regina.
Angus says when the price of a barrel goes up, so does the price at the pumps.
However the reverse isn’t true when the price of a barrel drops.
Angus says when you start asking questions, the answers get very vague.
