The Nipigon Bridge failure is following an unnerving trend of failing to make sure Northern roads are safe.
That comment comes from the NDP Transportation Critic Wayne Gates, who is writing an open letter to the province.
He’s asking the Minister of Transportation, Steven Del Duca, to provide Northerners weekly updates on the repairs of the bridge.
Gates is asking if Northern families should expect any more structural failures on vital roadways, and says weekly progress updates on the bridge should be provided.
