The president of FONOM and the mayor of Kapuskasing, Al Spacek says both are in full support of MP Charlie Angus and Timmins Mayor Steve Black’s fight against high northern gas prices.
Angus spoke on the matter in the House of Commons yesterday.
Spacek says prices have always been a little higher for the north but never by a margin as large as this.
It comes at a time when both hydro and food prices have risen greatly in the north.
Black and Angus are going to the competition bureau to find out why prices haven’t dropped with the price oil in the north.
