The town of Kapuskasing is launching a program to help kids live healthier and more active lifestyles.
The Healthy Kids Community Challenge features both indoor and outdoor activities for kids and their families throughout the month of February.
The February scavenger hunt kicks off on the 15th at Murdoch Hill, then at Remi on the 20th and wrapping up at the Kapuskasing Winter Carnival at the end of the month.
The project’s manager Breanna Plourde says the activities are designed around family participation for a good reason.

She says if a whole family adopts a healthy lifestyle it has a higher likelihood of rubbing off on their children.
