Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief Patrick Madahbee has released a statement following the Canada Human Rights Tribunal Child Welfare decision.
Madahbee says this is a great victory for our kids, and that the federal government has avoided the truth for many years.
The tribunal ruled that the government has been discriminatory against First Nations children.
It found that social service programs for children on First Nations receive over 30 per cent less funding than what is provided elsewhere in the country.
