Provincial Charges Brought up in Hearst Arrest

The OPP says a routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a man wanted for assault in Hearst.

Police say a 44-year-old Hearst man has been arrested and charged with multiple offences including driving without a valid license and assault, some of which are now provincial offences.

The OPP says the arrest was made while patrolling Highway 663 and the vehicle has since been impounded.

The man will appear in court in March for both his local and provincial charges.
