Pre-budget meetings are now under way across the province.
The all party committee includes Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.
Fedeli is expecting a cross section of people including those who are having a tough time making ends meet because of expensive hydro.
Fedeli says that was the case two years ago when a young Ottawa woman on welfare explained how high power rates have affected her lifestyle.

Fedeli says this is energy poverty and he’s certain he’ll see more cases like this again this week.
On Thursday, the committee meets in Sault Ste. Marie to hear from residents of north eastern Ontario.
