Residents Raising Concerns Over Snowmobilers Crossing Private Property

Police say they have been receiving complaints of snowmobilers travelling over private property and in some cases, causing damage.

Some residents in Kirkland Lake and Iroquois Falls have already taken to social media saying there has been some damage to property grounds.

Trespassing is a criminal offence, especially if a rider doesn’t have proper licensing and insurance on a sled.

Police say always adhere to speed limit signs and not to leave a trail, especially if it borders someone’s personal property.

This comes as the OPP and the OFSC are teaming up for Snowmobile Safety Week.
