The Alzheimer Society of Kapuskasing has been hosting support groups for families, caregivers and friends affected by the condition.
The society says the caregiver support group is both for personal needs and an opportunity to learn more about the condition and other related dementias.
The society says to expect more meetings in the future as the event grows.
The first is set for January 27th from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Centre Sante.
