January 25th marks the first council meeting of 2016 for the town of Kapuskasing.
In the last year, many new by-laws have been amended allowing for the use of ATVs and snow mobiles within town limits and the beginning of the Highway 11 Connecting Link Upgrade project.
The connecting link has wrapped up its first phase of construction and according to the town’s CAO Yves Labelle there is a great deal on the horizon.
Discussed this year may be the expansion of Highway 11 to four lanes from North Bay to Cochrane, which has already been given support from around the region.
The town’s clerk Barbara Major says agendas are usually posted to the civic web on the Fridays before council.
