OPP: “See snow, go slow”, a Mantra All Drivers Should Adopt

Aside from winter tires and some salt or cat litter there are some other easy ways to stay safe on our roads during the winter.

Now that something resembling a northern winter is upon us the OPP is making sure drivers are being responsible and safe.

The OPP says see snow, go slow is a good mantra to hold to while driving in a northern winter.

The Highway 11 corridor can be treacherous in some places including the 655, which connects Timmins to the TransCanada highway in the area.

Police say make sure your gas tank is always above half and fully scrape ice and snow from windows as it improves visibility or both you and drivers behind you.
