A low involvement of parents on a plan from the NCDSB and the OPP has the principal of St. Patrick’s School in Kapuskasing concerned.
The school’s principal Gretchen Morgan says two information sessions have been held recently, with one being cancelled due to a lack of participation from parents.
Morgan says parents may not realize how ubiquitous social media is for their children and when cyber-bullying occurs it can be very damaging and very public.
She’s hoping parents will take a more pro-active stance towards bullying, online or otherwise, moving forward.
