Ontario`s Regional Chief is looking forward to the Trudeau government`s first federal budget.
Isadore Day was reacting to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau`s Throne Speech and his promise to implement the recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
The Speech from the Throne is also promising an inquiry into missing and murdered Aboriginal women.
What wasn’t in the blueprint was the elimination of boil water advisories on reserves, something Trudeau campaigned to do.
However Day says First Nations will work with the new Liberal government to accomplish this within five years.
