A report from the Auditor General says Ontarians are overpaying on electricity by $38 billion.
MPP for Timmins-James Bay, Gilles Bisson says the report is indefensible and confirms what many residents already believed.
Bisson says it isn’t all grim however, if Ontarians continue to pressure the government on important issues it can make a difference.
He says the Municipal Land Tax is a perfect example, Ontarians spoke out against it and the province backed down.
The auditor’s report says Hydro One’s services are becoming less reliable and costing more.
Recently, there have been three Hydro One planned power outages which lasted six hours hours or more in the Northeast during winter months.
