The province is investing $200,000 to start an education program channelled through the Mushkegowuk Council.
The council says it’s part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the province and First Nations.
The two parties will be focusing more on creating economic opportunities for Mushkegowuk as a result of the memorandum.
Mushkegowuk represents seven First Nations in the area, including Attawapiskat and Kashechewan.
