The province says food bank usage across Ontario is up nearly 15 per cent, with almost 35 per cent of users being children.

Ray Gagnon runs the Kapuskasing food bank, he says it may be different for larger cities but in Kapuskasing the bank has received a great deal of support from local businesses and the community.

He says the local food bank has seen an increase in young people using its stores, such as students.
