Horwath Worried More Public Assets Could be Sold

Ontario’s New Democrat leader is raising red flags over the potential sale of even more public assets.

Andrea Horwath is writing an open letter to Premier Kathleen Wynne, asking for transparency about her plans to keep or sell more assets.

Horwath says the Hydro One sell off is worrisome enough, saying that Wynne’s numbers don’t add up.

Horwath says the sale could be for as low as 1.4-billion dollars, but Wynne claimed it would bring in four-billion for infrastructure funding.

Horwath says paying for needed upgrades is important, but selling off all Ontario’s public assets isn’t the way to do it.
