MNR: Very Few Violations this Hunting Season

The MNR says it carried out a blitz during hunting season and found most hunters are obeying the law.

The Ministry of Natural Resources says it inspected more than 3,200 hunters across the Northeast between October 10th and 18th.

The MNR says it handed out 109 charges and 170 warnings including confiscating illegally killed animals.

Conservation Officers in the field also took the time to answer questions and share information in the field during the blitz.

The MNR says most charges included not wearing hunter orange, carrying loaded guns in vehicles and alcohol-related violations.
