Lockout at Ontario Northland

Over 190 employees at Ontario Northland will be walking the picket lines today.

They were locked out of the job over the weekend, after talks between UNIFOR and the company broke down.

The lockout affects the company’s rail and motor coach mechanics that are fighting for job security.

UNIFOR’S national president says it’s time for Premier Wynne to get involved and convince Ontario Northland to head back to the bargaining table.

This includes UNIFOR rail workers in Cochrane, who have been locked out since last week.
