The MNR is reminding hunters they share the forests with bird watchers, hikers and other people enjoying the great outdoors.
The MNR says making sure all your tags and licenses are up to date before heading out to hunt should be a top priority.
It’s also important to wear hunter orange, being aware of your surroundings and never taking a shot unless you can clearly see your target and what’s beyond.
Hikers, snow shoers and cross country skiers should always check hunting seasons before heading out to the trails.
If you’re heading out into our forests you can always check on areas designated for hunting with your town, the MNR itself or with the province.
