Cochrane council will be discussing the possible expansion of Highway 11 in tonight’s meeting.
NEOMA, Temiskaming Shores and Nipissing may be submitting a proposal to expand Highway 11 to four lanes from North Bay to Cochrane.
If the proposal is accepted by council and the plan moves forward, it would be yet another piece of significant infrastructure in the Northeast.
In Cochrane, the Railway Street restoration project and in Kapuskasing the Highway 11 Connecting Link Upgrade Project are both underway.
Organizations such as the NOHFC and its federal counterpart, FedNor have contributed greatly to the projects improving the Highway 11 corridor in the Northeast.
