As far as Algoma Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha is concerned, the Ring of Fire should be a go.
That’s because before last month’s federal election, the Ontario Liberals kept blaming the Conservative government for delaying the project.
But Mantha says the provincial blame game should now end with the federal Liberals now in power.
One concern Mantha has was the federal Liberals were quiet about the Ring of Fire during the election campaign.
He plans on working with his federal NDP counterparts to ensure the massive chromite project is on the Prime Minister’s radar.
The Ring of Fire was a topic of much discussion for the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing and Timmins-James Bay ridings over the course of this year’s federal election.
