The North Centennial Manor has declared an undefined respiratory outbreak.
There are currently limitations on visitors, such as only one visitor per resident, required to sign in.
Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to visit residents of the senior’s facility.
From the Manor, Mylene Beadow says procedures are being implemented to reduce the risk to residents and visitors.
She says extra cleaning staff will be on duty, regular activities are cancelled and tight restrictions on visitors will continue until the outbreak is under control.
The Manor says if you have symptoms of a cough, chills, fever, sore throat, nasal congestion or abnormal aches and pains you should not visit.
Currently all activities are cancelled and residents are asked to stay within their own wings.
