The Porcupine Health Unit will begin its flu shot clinics beginning October 28th throughout the Northeast.
The first clinics are set to open in South Porcupine at the end of October and in Timmins at the beginning of November.
The health unit says children between the ages of two and 17 will be receiving a vaccine containing more strains of influenza for better protection.
The PHU says other health care providers and local pharmacies will also be carrying the vaccines later this winter.
The Porcupine Health Unit services communities from Cochrane to Algoma in the Northeast.
Dates and times for Cochrane and Kapuskasing will be updated today when they are released by the PHU.
