The Sno Rovers are a volunteer organization which patrols, grooms, assists in safety and maintains many snow mobile trails in the region.
With winter approaching the volunteer group held its AGM.
One of the Rovers, Jim Mangan says the organization is in good shape heading into the season.
He says the Rovers maintain a large area of trails stretching from Moonbeam, Fauquier and Hearst including an inter-provincial trail that runs through the Northeast.
Mangan says the trails in the Northeast are some of the best in Ontario, attracting enthusiasts from all over the country and the US.
Earlier this month FedNor, Ontario Tourism and five municipalities announced they’re teaming up with commercial interest to help develop off-road and snow mobile trails in the region.
