Nearly $1 million in funding is going into 20 projects in the Northeast for tourism, economic development and infrastructure.
The investment comes from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, the third of its kind in two weeks.
In Hearst, nearly $100,000 will go into developing a mining readiness strategy with Constance Lake First Nation.
In Iroquois Falls, $87,000 is going into finding ways to repurpose the former Resolute Mill.
And $10,000 is going to Kapuskasing to help implement a community strategic economic plan.
