Police Find Identity of Skull Found Near Moosonee

A two-year mystery regarding the indentity of a skull found near Moosonee has been solved by police.

The OPP says the skull belonged to Peter Hester of Moose Factory.

Police say at the time, Hester was 32-years-old and was reported missing in 1979 while travelling from the James Bay coast to Moosonee by canoe.

Police say they were assisted by forensic teams from multiple police forces and a forensic anthropologist.
