Hughes: Cutting Infrastructure Deficit has to be a Priority

Making sure municipalities have the funding they need and keeping money for infrastructure where it needs to be is a priority for New Democrat Carol Hughes.

She says the infrastructure deficit for the north is extremely high and allocating more of the gas tax to the towns themselves will help alleviate that.

She says FedNor and other organizations will have to continue to play a major role in the development of infrastructure in the north.

Hughes is running against Conservative candidate Andre Robichaud and the Liberal’s Heather Wilson.

The 2015 federal election is set for Monday, October 19th.
