The Northern Ontario School of Medicine is enacting a new strategic plan for its students and the communities they work in.
NOSM will be seeing a new CAO taking over, Ray Hunt and the province just announced five new residency positions are opening up in northern Ontario hospitals next year.
NOSM says the plan is designed to be carried through to 2020.
The school says the plan looks to strengthen community bonds, a more inclusive school culture and to better gear their goals for Northern Ontario’s needs.
Right now, there are four third-year students and two residency positions being filled at the Sensenbrenner Hospital and Clinic in Kapuskasing.
