Wreckage of the Apex helicopter lost near Foleyet has been removed from the crash site for investigation.
Lead investigator from the Transportation Safety Board, Ross Peden, says parts of the chopper will be shipped off to different parts of the country.
He says the investigation is taking many factors into account including weather conditions.
The helicopter was reported missing just over a week ago.
Its wreckage was found by search teams in a heavily wooded area.
The crash claimed the lives of 24-year-old Jeremie Belanger of Kapuskasing and 41-year-old Kevin Mielke of Kitchener.
