Police have released the names of the two passengers from a helicopter that went missing in the region.

Jeremy Belanger of Kapuskasing and Ken Mielke of Kitchener were aboard a helicopter that went missing near Foleyet.

Police say the helicopter left Horwood Lake on Tuesday and never arrived at its destination.

Detective Constable Martin Mailloux-Ratte from the OPP says the search continues today.

Mailloux-Ratte says the search area is very large and numerous aircraft are helping in the search.
