The OPP says telephone scams are on the rise.
Two weeks ago we reported on fraudsters posing as CRA representatives and VISA agents calling the area.
Police say they have received reports of scams from Kirkland Lake to Hearst.
The Disability Resource Centre is hosting a workshop on how to avoid internet and telephone scams.

The seminar will be hosted by members of the Grand-Nord Legal Clinic and is free for attendees.
The workshop is at 2:00pm on Friday, September 25th at 29 Byng Avenue, Suite 5, in Kapuskasing.
