Unrestricted ATV Use Still Under Debate

Kapuskasing town council is still debating the unrestricted use of ATVs.

Concerns regarding speed limits on Highway 11 as well as safety in school zones and near the Sensenbrenner Hospital were brought up yet again.

Councillor David Plourde mentioned that the trails south of town are only accessible by Highway 11, more specifically allowing them travel on the area near McPherson.

Council was unanimous regarding proper licensing and safety equipment if the by-laws were to be amended.

Kapuskasing’s Mayor Al Spacek suggested a possible special council meeting may be needed to reach a timely decision.
