Keeping School Busses Safe on Our Roads

The OPP want drivers to obey school bus signals as school resumes.

The penalties for ignoring flashing lights and stop sign arms on school busses are a $2,000 fine and six demerit points.

School bus operator associations and the OPP are teaming up to keep drivers and students safe.

Police say they responded to 22 collisions involving school busses in last year alone.

Schools resume after Labour Day next week.
