The Hearst EDC is holding Shred the Rainbow Run this weekend with the help of local businesses.
Businesses in the community are sponsoring the free event for the public along with the Economic Development Corporation and Crossroads Hearst.
It features races varying from a two kilometre walk to a half-marathon and a five kilometre course.
The twist is participants will be covered in coloured powder at colour stations throughout the event.

The Sport Tourism Coordinator at the EDC, Celina Roy says they’re expecting a large turnout.
Roy says without the support of local businesses the event wouldn’t be free to the public.
